Research direction:
1. Monitoring, prewarning and green preventing and controlling technologies of diseases in curcurbitaceae and fruit crops
2. Fruit quality and safety detection technology
3. Fruit quality and safety risk assessment
International Cooperation
We invited the foreign experts from the US, France, Spain, South Korea, Japan, Portugal, and other countries to exchange ideas on the occurrence, monitoring, and control of cucurbit diseases. The team members also went abroad for academic exchanges and cooperation, and established good cooperative relationships with multiple foreign laboratories.
Representative Achievements
1. Synthesize fluorescent nanomaterials from kiwifruit to detect metal ions
Study committed to developing multifunctional nanomaterials from biomass carbon sources. kiwifruit as biomass carbon sources to synthesize a new fluorescent nanomaterials (KF-CDs) that have the great potential in the sensitive detected of Fe3+ by fluorescence quenched.
2. A method was developed for the analysis of three pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables
The team has improved the presentment and optimism the mass spectrometer conditions, and established new methods for the detection of five diamide insecticides, pyrethroids and succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor fungicides in fruits and vegetables, which are simple, rapid and have improved sensitivity and accuracy compared with existing methods.
3. Identification the viruses of cucurbits and establishment the methods to control the disease
Through researching on viruses of cucurbits nationwide for over 20 years, we discovered multiple new records and species of viruses, and established green prevention and control measures for viruses based on studying the mechanisms of virus infection and host defense. These results have been published more than 30 papers.
4. Construction the infectious clones of viruses and VIGS vector on cucurbits
In our lab, infectious clones of 12 different viruses in cucurbits have been constructed, becoming the laboratory with the most infectious clones of cucurbit viruses in the world. Based on CGMMV infectious clone, we have successfully constructed a VIGS vector for stable and efficient expression on cucurbits, which has become an important tool for gene function in cucurbit. This achievement has been granted one national invention patent, and was used by over 30 universities and research institutions nationwide to published five papers (including one IF=16).
